10FAQ · Frequently asked

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does one charging point cost to set up?

It depends on power (kW) and the number of connectors. DC Fast Charge typically ranges from the high hundred-thousands to a few million baht per point. eEV helps you pick the most cost-effective size for your site and budget — never bigger than needed.

How many years until payback?

On average around 1–4 years, depending on location, passing traffic and utilization. Try your own numbers in the revenue & payback calculator on this site.

What power supply is required? Do I need a new transformer?

DC Fast Chargers require 3-phase power, and some sites may need a capacity upgrade or a new transformer. eEV surveys the site and coordinates with the electricity authority from the start.

What permits are needed?

These include electricity-authority approvals, local permits (municipal/subdistrict), and safety standards. eEV handles and guides you through every step.

Does eEV support the station after installation?

Yes — end to end: management software, payment/billing, monitoring, and after-sales maintenance. You are never left to run it alone.

Which platform is used for payment and station management?

You can choose from several platforms such as OneCharge, PEA VOLTA and ELEXA by EGAT (see the “Service Platforms” page). eEV recommends the one that best fits your business goals.

No site of my own, or a site but no capital — can I still invest?

Both work — whether you have capital but no location, or a location but prefer someone else to invest, eEV matches partners and structures the deal for both sides.
